Hi Cafe!

I was tending to my flower bed and suddenly had the inspiration

to use your oval rag rug tutorial to try and make a flower rag rug. This can work!

So many ideas ran through my head. After many trial and errors,

I was able to work out these petals, starting them directly on the circle.

I also think that the petals can be done separately and then sewn to

the circle. With my next flower, I will start the oval with one color,

then change colors to finish the petal. This rug has 5 petals, but I'm

thinking daisies and sunflowers. Petals everywhere! I'll be

adding green around the flower to finish this rug. Maybe a leaf or two?

I hope you like my flower garden idea and it inspires you the way

you have inspired me. So much can be done with these rag rug

techniques. The possibilities are endless!
