I received your book and am excited to get started. just one question. when you get to the end of each row, instructions state to add a loop using only the base strip. my question is when y9ou turn the strip, do you makje your first kn ow in this kinot, then into the knots in the rows.

Ok...I get your question. Take a look at the top photo on page 9. See the first knot? (It's directly under the middle arrow) This is the knot that you are referring to. You DON'T go through that knot -- start with the next one (just like the picture). However, if you try to go through that knot, you would notice that you would not be able to go "under the base strip"! meaning something wasn't quite right!
The first 2-3 rows are the trickiest (just trying to keep everything flat and untwisted) but after that, it's smooth sailing! Hope this helped and make sure you take a picture of your finished rug so it can be posted on the site!

I have started my round rag
